Cosmic Joke is a Los Angeles-based hardcore punk band formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, drawing influence from iconic West Coast acts like Bad Religion, Circle Jerks, and Descendents. Their sharp, fast-paced sound captures the spirit of DIY punk while delivering modern energy. The project quickly established itself in the scene, marking a milestone as the first LP release on HardLore Records in collaboration with Triple B Records.

Led by a commitment to punchy riffs, urgent vocals, and socially aware lyrics, Cosmic Joke has cultivated a dedicated following through energetic live shows and a steady stream of releases. Their work blends traditional hardcore elements with fresh perspectives, resonating with fans across the punk and indie scenes.

In 2025, Cosmic Joke expanded their catalog with two standout releases, Welcome to L.A. and Forced Perspective, each paired with a strategic approach to bonus material and side tracks that complement the live-recorded essence of the band. The year also featured high-profile performances, including a July 10 show at Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles, an opening slot for Streetlight Manifesto at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on July 22, 2025, and a October 17, 2025 appearance at The Fillmore Silver Spring. The band continues to tour and build community through Bandcamp, the primary hub for music, tracks, and purchasing.
