The Count Basie Center Conservatory of Music Spring Showcase represents a pillar of community-based music education in Red Bank, New Jersey. Founded in 1964 as the Monmouth Conservatory of Music by Felix Molzer and Jeannette Molzer, this program has taught more than 10,000 students across 50+ years of musical growth. In April 2017, the Conservatory joined the Count Basie Theatre’s broader music programs and relocated onto the Basie campus after a major expansion. Today, it operates under the Count Basie Center Turner Academy of the Arts, offering comprehensive classes, private instruction, student performances, and the Conservatory Orchestra. The Spring Showcase highlights student achievement and gives performers a welcoming, professional setting to share their progress with the community.
