The live experience
What reaches the room
Since 1971, Cowboys Of Color National Finals Rodeo has celebrated culture, courage, and community through a high-energy rodeo experience. Originally launched as the Texas Black Rodeo, the organization was renamed in 1995 to welcome performers and audiences from diverse backgrounds while preserving traditional rodeo events. Led for decades by founder Cleo L. Hearn (1939–2025), the company expanded a 7-city tour across Texas and Oklahoma, bringing together bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing, and dynamic cultural performances—from Buffalo Soldiers to Charros and Native dancers and drummers. The troupe’s impact on Western heritage is recognized across national outlets and halls of fame, and they continue to inspire new generations of riders and entertainers.
