The Creighton Bluejays Softball program sits at a storied crossroad of history and momentum. Originating in 1973 as Creighton’s first organized intercollegiate women’s sport, the team has grown into a competitive force with two College World Series appearances and nine regular-season conference titles. Under head coach Krista Wood, who joined Creighton in 2022, the program has posted back-to-back 30-win seasons in 2024 and 2025, a feat not seen since 2009–10, and set a program single-season runs record with 321 runs in 2025. The Bluejays are heading into a new era with the Creighton Softball Stadium, a 79,000-square-foot complex opened in fall 2025 and debuting on the 2026 spring season, featuring a large digital video board and modern amenities for players and fans alike.
