Croall's Zasakwaa is an Odawa First Nations composer whose work sits at the intersection of Indigenous storytelling and contemporary classical chamber music. Born on Mnidoo Mnissing (Manitoulin Island), Ontario, she has built a distinguished career as a composer, performer, and artistic director. Her chamber pieces often blend string ensembles with mezzo-soprano and flute, inviting deeply personal and culturally resonant narratives to the concert stage. As founder and director of ERGO Ensemble, Croall continues to push boundaries and foster collaborations across Canada and beyond.
