Crossroads Wind Symphony is a collaborative wind ensemble based in the Kansas City region, bringing together dedicated music educators and professional musicians who share a passion for wind literature and new music premieres. Since its founding in 2016, the group has regularly presented four to five concerts each year under the direction of Paul W. Popiel, a longtime KU Band conductor and current KU School of Music administrator. The ensemble emphasizes established wind repertoire alongside premieres, often collaborating with university programs and local venues to engage both performers and audiences across Kansas and Missouri.
