Crys Cole is a Berlin-based composer, performer, and sound artist active internationally since 2001. Her practice spans composition, live performance, and sound installation, with a distinctive approach that emphasizes microsound textures crafted from contact microphones, everyday objects, and minimal electronics. Through collaborations, solo work, and curatorial leadership, Cole has helped shape contemporary experimental music across continents.

Her ongoing collaboration with Oren Ambarchi and James Rushford under the project Ora Clementi has produced several multi-channel works that explore spatial audio and tactile sonic detail. Cole’s solo and collaborative releases extend from intimate, textural pieces to expansive installations, reflecting a keen interest in how sound interacts with space and perception.

Discography highlights include the solo albums Beside Myself (2020), A Piece Of Work (2022), and the recent Making Conversation (2024) on Black Truffle Records. Her work has been featured in prominent festivals and venues around the world, and she served as Director of Winnipeg's send + receive: a festival of sound from 2008–2019, shaping programming and presenting innovative sound art to diverse audiences. In 2025, Crys Cole is slated for performances in Basel, Kristiansand, Melbourne, London, New York, Tokyo, Milan, and beyond, continuing her mission to create intimate, high-definition sonic experiences for concert spaces and immersive installations alike.
