Biography
Founded in 1996 in Puerto Rico, Cultura Profetica evolved from a tight-knit collective into a hallmark of contemporary Latin reggae. Core members include Willy Rodríguez (vocals/percussion), Eliut González (guitar), and Omar Silva (bass). The band’s sound merges reggae's roots with Caribbean guitar textures and socially aware lyrics, creating an accessible yet sophisticated sonic experience. Over the years, they’ve maintained independence at times, releasing material on La Mafafa and collaborating with labels like Machete/Luar for key records.
