The Dalhousie Tigers Hockey program has a long-standing place in Canadian university hockey. Founded for varsity play in 1962-63, the team is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and has historically skated at the Halifax Forum. As a member of U Sports, the Tigers compete in the AUS (Atlantic University Sport) conference, facing rivals across the region and beyond. The program's legacy includes appearances at the national level in 1979, 1986, and 2004, with a conference tournament title earned in 1979. In the 2025-26 season, the Tigers sit in AUS standings with a challenging schedule that includes games against StFX, Moncton, Acadia, Saint Mary’s, UNB, and UPEI. The Dalhousie hockey family is known for developing players who contribute on and off the ice, with recent accolades highlighting the program’s commitment to excellence.
