Meet Damn the Flood, the project of Swedish-born, New York–based composer Adrian Knight. Since moving to the U.S. and exploring a wide sonic palette, Knight has established himself through a blend of ambient textures, jazz-inflected phrasing, and experimental forms. Damn the Flood began as a commission for a Post:Ballet piece and premiered in 2017 at SOMArts in San Francisco, later evolving into a 2021 release on Regional Attraction. Knight’s work crosses chamber music intimacy with pop-informed melodies, creating a sound that's at once cinematic and intimate.
