Dan Reed Network (DRN) burst onto the scene in 1984 out of Portland, Oregon, forging a bold fusion of hard rock, funk, and soul. Known for high-energy performances and seasoned musicianship, DRN opened for major acts and earned a Top 40 US hit with Ritual. The band's 1989–1991 era featured Nile Rodgers production on Slam and the UK-charting The Heat, which reached the UK Albums Chart peak #15. After a period apart, DRN reformed for New Year’s Eve 2012, touring Europe and the United States and releasing new material like Fight Another Day (2016) and Origins (2018). In 2022, they released Let’s Hear It For The King on Drakkar Entertainment. Dan Reed’s solo projects, including Liftoff released in 2020, continued to expand his musical footprint.
