Dance Alive National Ballet (DANB) brings a long-standing tradition of artistic excellence to Gainesville and beyond. Founded in 1966 as the Gainesville Civic Ballet, the company later became Dance Alive National Ballet, shaping a regional and national footprint through classical and contemporary works. Led by founder and Artistic Director Kim Tuttle since 1986, with Choreographer-in-Residence Judy Skinner, DANB blends technical prowess with expressive storytelling, touring across Florida and internationally. The company regularly collaborates with the University of Florida Symphony Orchestra and UF Concert Choir to create immersive, live-performance experiences for audiences of all ages.
