Founded in 1994 by Béa Rashid in Evanston, Illinois, Dance Center Evanston (DCE) is a dynamic hub for dance education and performance. Serving as the home base for the resident pre-professional company EDE and the ensemble ede2, DCE offers a broad spectrum of styles and techniques, including Cecchetti ballet, modern and contemporary forms, and creative choreography. The studio continues to cultivate rising talent through high-caliber performances, televised recitals, and community outreach.

At the core of DCE is a strong commitment to nurturing young artists. EDE (Evanston Dance Ensemble) was founded in 1997 by Béa Rashid and earned 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 1998, making it a stable platform for aspiring dancers to develop technical skill, artistry, and professional experience.
