The musical character
Founded in 2021 by Laurel Winton and a collective of dancers, DanceAspen resurrected the Roaring Fork Valley’s dance scene after the dissolution of the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet company. Based in Aspen, Colorado, the company serves as the region’s resident contemporary dance ensemble, drawing professional dancers from across the country to illuminate the high desert’s artistic landscape.
