DancEast is the national centre for dance in the East of England, based at the Jerwood DanceHouse in Ipswich. Since its founding in 1983 as Suffolk Dance and its rebrand to DancEast in 2009, the organisation has become a cornerstone for professional performance, training, and community participation. Located at Foundry Lane, Ipswich IP4 1DW, DancEast serves as a rallying point for dancers across the region and beyond, offering world-class training through the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) and a wide range of public workshops, performances, and youth initiatives.
