Dangerous Toys’ debut album, released in 1989, helped crystallize their place in the rock scene, peaking at 65 on the Billboard 200 and earning Gold status from the RIAA in 1994. Their collaborations with producer Roy Thomas Baker on Hellacious Acres (1991) yielded standout singles like Line ’Em Up and Gimme No Lip. The band continued to release music through the mid-90s, including Pissed (1994) and The R*tist 4*merly Known as Dangerous Toys (1995). A live collection, Vitamins and Crash Helmets Tour – Greatest Hits Live (1999), captured their high-energy performances. In 2004 and 2020, compilation efforts honored their legacy with The Ultimate Dangerous Toys – Sleaze Metal Kings from Texas and Greatest Tricks, respectively. Cleopatra Records released Demolition, a 2025 compilation of unreleased material, on December 12, 2025. Inducted into the Metal Hall of Fame in February 2025, Dangerous Toys remains a driving force in the scene with plans for new albums rumored for 2026.
