People behind the production
Daniel Binelli is a premier bandoneonist and a central figure in modern tango. Born May 20, 1946 in Quilmes, Argentina, Binelli has defined generations of tango performance with his virtuosic technique and reconceptualized approach to tango as concert music. He rose to prominence with Osvaldo Pugliese’s orchestra (1968–1982) and later became a key contributor to Astor Piazzolla’s New Tango Sextet (1989). Binelli continues to shape the genre as the musical director and arranger for Tango Metropolis and through leadership of the Daniel Binelli Quintet, collaborating frequently with Polly Ferman and Eduardo Isaac. His career is marked by a dedication to storytelling through the bandoneon, where precision, emotion, and depth meet accessible, live tango experience.
