Daniel Meyer is a pivotal figure in the modern ecstatic black metal scene. As a core member of Agriculture and founder of Kneeling, his work fuses ferocious extreme metal with Zen and Buddhist ideas, along with deeply personal storytelling. The project Agriculture, including collaborators Leah Levinson, Kern Haug, and Richard Chowenhill, released the acclaimed albums Agriculture (2023) and The Spiritual Sound (2025) on The Flenser label, earning recognition as a standout act of its era. Daniel’s solo endeavors, notably Kneeling, have produced stirring singles such as Omen, A Great Man, and Dan’s Love Song in 2025. He tours extensively, with notable appearances at Roadburn 2025, a North American fall tour, and an East Coast US itinerary with Knoll planned for early 2026.
