Known for shaping the gritty, East Coast boom bap sound, Daringer (born Thomas Paladino in 1985, Buffalo, New York) is a pivotal figure in the Griselda collective. As an in-house producer who also steps to the mic, his work blends classic Harlem and Buffalo storytelling with modern, hard-hitting drums. Daringer’s influence on the Griselda era is evident in the polished yet raw direction of WWCD (With Beat Butcha, 2019), a project that defined a generation of New York hip hop with its cinematic sample choices and precise lyricism. His solo projects showcase his production prowess and introspective lyricism in equal measure.
