Biographically, Dark Moon Lilith centers on Tara James and Mathew Fulper-Smith, two artists who fused gothic sensibilities with theatrical performance. The duo released Occultation (2017 ℗ 2017 Tara Ammerman), a collection of eight tracks that established their dark, cinematic sound. Their 2022 release, Eclipse (Blood On The Moon), and 2023 single Heads Will Roll continued to expand their sonic universe, while the 2025 single Blood on My Hands released on October 20, 2025, marks an ongoing evolution in their storytelling. In July 2025, Dark Moon Lilith performed at Lilith Fest: A Tribute to Lilith Fair at The NorVa in Norfolk, VA, as part of Project HERA’s women-in-music tribute events.
