David Longstreth is the founder and constant frontman of the influential band Dirty Projectors, a project he has steered since 2002. Over two decades, Longstreth’s evolving band lineup and ambitious concepts have helped shape indie rock, art pop, and chamber-pop textures across ten studio albums. Beyond Dirty Projectors, Longstreth has pursued expansive, orchestral projects and notable collaborations, including co-writing Rihanna’s FourFiveSeconds. His recent work, Song of the Earth, is a symphonic cycle for orchestra and voices that premiered in the United States in 2024 and continued to develop through 2025 with global performances and listening experiences.
