Founded by Insomniac in summer 2018 with the mantra 'House Music All Day Long,' Day Trip started as open-air day parties at Academy LA and evolved into the Day Trip Festival in 2021. In 2023, Day Trip In The Park launched as the park-side daytime edition, relocating to Los Angeles State Historic Park (The Promenade) for summer programming. The 2025 schedule features Sunday sessions from late May through September, with rotating house and tech-house DJs like Sonny Fodera, Torren Foot, MK, Claptone, and East End Dubs.
