Dead Coast formed in London during the mid-2010s, drawing from the city’s vibrant underground psych scene. The trio (original members Luca Bianco, Craig Leadbeater, and Alice Smith) developed a unique fusion of psych, garage, surf, blues, and spacey textures. Their music captures a restless energy—gritty and melodic at once—and has earned them attention on both sides of the Atlantic.
The band’s discography highlights a steady release strategy that balances EU and US label support with DIY roots. Their first notable LP, Shambolic, released in Europe in 2016/2017 via Annibale Records (EU) and Greenway Records (USA), set the tone for their cinematic approach to rock. This was followed by Red Solstice in 2019, further expanding their sonic palette with darker tones and expansive arrangements. In 2020, they released the singles No Friends and Suffer's Ready, continuing to push their sound forward while maintaining a DIY ethos.
Dead Coast is known for gripping live performances, including a memorable SXSW appearance, and extensive touring across Europe and the United States. The band’s activity is supported by ongoing label collaboration, alongside a robust, fan-facing presence on social channels and Bandcamp, where listeners can connect and stay updated on new releases.
