Death in Venice is a cult Italian goth rock act formed in 1981 in Venice, Italy. Known for their synthesis of new wave, post-punk, and synth-driven darkwave, they emerged as a cornerstone of the early Italian goth scene. Led by vocalists Sebastian Russo and Angelo Russo, with Dalibor Laginja on guitar, Delio Bauduzzi on synth, and Marco Bianchi on drums, the band built a reputation for atmospheric, moody performances that captured the mid-80s European underground.
