Deborah Case Dance Academy (DCDA) is a cornerstone of the Rio Grande Valley’s dance community, based at 5240 N 10th Street, McAllen, TX 78504. Founded and directed by Deborah Case, a renowned artist with training from Bolshoi-affiliated programs, DCDA leads the Rio Grande Valley Ballet and champions the Vaganova Russian technique. The academy offers a comprehensive range of classes—from ballet and pointe to tap, contemporary, hip hop, and beginner/pre-ballet and pre-tap for younger students—fostering technical precision, artistry, and performance-level training. DCDA produces two acclaimed recitals annually at the McAllen Performing Arts Center, giving students and audiences alike a vivid showcase of technical prowess and expressive storytelling. DCDA’s founder, Deborah Case, has been recognized as a Woman of Distinction in Arts and Entertainment by the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and named a Legendary McAllen Woman by the McAllen Chamber of Commerce.
