A founding member of Horslips, he helped shape Irish rock in the early 1970s before leaving ahead of their debut album. He later contributed to Moving Hearts as a guitarist and composer on pivotal tracks like Let Somebody Know, adding a distinctive voice to Irish fusion and folk-rock.
