The Delaware Symphony Orchestra (DSO) has a storied 96-year history as a cornerstone of Delaware’s classical music scene. Founded in 1929 and based in Wilmington, the DSO performs major classical works and innovative programming across two core series—the Classical Series for full orchestra and the intimate Chamber Series—while also delivering robust education and community outreach. The Grand Opera House in Wilmington serves as the DSO’s primary performance venue, with additional concerts at venues throughout the state, including Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes.
