Dennis McKenna is a prominent figure in ethnopharmacology, botany, and psychedelic research. As a founding board member and director of ethnopharmacology at the Heffter Research Institute, he helped shape the first biomedical study of ayahuasca through the Hoasca Project. He later founded the McKenna Academy of Natural Philosophy and relocated to Abbotsford, Canada in 2019. A respected lecturer and author, Dennis engages audiences worldwide on the science, history, and cultural context of psychedelic plants and natural philosophy.
