Denver Comic Con, now operating as Fan Expo Denver, is a cornerstone of Colorado's pop culture scene. Since its inaugural event in 2012, organized by Pop Culture Classroom to fund year‑round literacy programs, the convention has grown into one of the region’s largest gatherings for comics, sci‑fi, fantasy, and cosplay. By 2015, attendance surpassed 100,000, signaling its status as a major cultural event in Denver. After a branding transition in 2019, and acquisition by FAN EXPO HQ in 2021, the event continued under the Fan Expo Denver umbrella. The 2025 edition ran July 3–6 at the Colorado Convention Center, with the 2026 edition planned for May 28–31. Tickets are typically managed through the AXS platform, and the CCC box office serves as a ticketing outlet rather than a daily box office.
