Despistaos is a Spanish pop-rock act formed in 2002 in Guadalajara by Dani Marco Varela and Isma. Over the years, the duo evolved through multiple lineup changes and shifted from urban rock toward accessible pop-punk and pop-rock sounds. They gained mainstream recognition with the track Física o química, which became closely associated with the popular TV series of the same name. The band’s ascent was crowned by winning the Premio 40 Principales al mejor artista revelación in 2008, marking a major milestone in their national reach. In 2022, Despistaos marked a high-profile return with the album Ilusionismo, released under Warner Music Spain and produced with Tato Latorre, featuring notable collaborations. The duo continues to release new music and embark on large-scale live tours, including 2025 projects such as Muérdeme (with Suu) and headline shows in Pinto and Madrid.
