Detroit Opera Youth Tickets

Detroit Opera Youth (DOYC) is a world‑class training program for metro Detroit youth ages 8–17. Our performers rehearse and perform as a standalone chorus and alongside international opera stars in mainstage productions. DOYC offers a rigorous, supportive environment where young singers develop technique, musicality, and stagecraft under experienced leadership. Rehearsals run Monday evenings from September through May at the Detroit Opera House, guided by Principal Chorus Conductor Rebecca Eaddy and Preparatory Chorus Conductor Jane Panikkar.

As part of the Detroit Opera ecosystem, DOYC provides opportunities to perform in full productions such as H.M.S. Pinafore, a fully staged DOYC production performed on March 8, 2025 at the Detroit Opera House, featuring DOYC singers in all roles. The program also collaborates with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra on major works and brings high‑caliber programming to the Detroit community.

Upcoming DOYC performances include the 2025–26 season highlights: Carmina Burana with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (November 7–9, 2025, Orchestra Hall) and A Winter Fantasy (December 14, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church, Royal Oak).
