Founded in 1962 as part of the Mt. Diablo School District and now operated by the Diablo Symphony Association, the Diablo Symphony Orchestra brings exceptional classical music to Walnut Creek and the broader Bay Area. With a five-concert season (five-concert or four-concert package options), the ensemble blends classical masterworks with opera-inspired programs and community outreach. Season highlights for 2025–2026 include a Verdi La Traviata coproduction with Festival Opera, Mariachi-influenced Sounds of the Americas: A Mariachi Valentine, and powerful symphonic works at the Lesher Center for the Arts.
