Meet Diane Daly, a dynamic force in Irish and international classical music who seamlessly bridges classical performance with cross-genre collaboration. Since debuting as a soloist with the RTÉ Symphony Orchestra at age 13, Daly has built a distinguished career as a performer, educator, and artistic leader. As Head of Strings at the Royal Irish Academy of Music (appointed in 2023), she shapes the next generation of violinists while remaining an active performer with the Irish Chamber Orchestra and a wide range of ensembles. Daly’s work spans classical repertoire and contemporary, jazz, gypsy, and rock collaborations, reflecting a commitment to holistic music education and innovative performance practice.

In addition to her performing career, Daly is the founder of Libra Strings and an advocate for Dalcroze Eurhythmics and Body Mapping for Musicians — Europe’s first accredited string-playing Body-Mapper. She is the Artistic Director of the Killaloe Music Festival 2025, overseeing a schedule that runs from May 28 to June 2, 2025, across Killaloe Cathedral and the Lakeside Hotel.
