Dietmar Wischmeyer, born March 5, 1957 in Oberholsten, Wiehengebirge, Germany, is a prolific German comedian, radio pioneer, and performer known for shaping contemporary German humor through character work and sharp social commentary. As the creator of the radio trio Frühstyxradio, he introduced enduring characters like Der Kleine Tierfreund and Günther, der Treckerfahrer. Since 2012, he has been a regular contributor to the heute-show and, from 2019, has hosted Wischmeyers Stundenhotel on Bremen Zwei. With a discography spanning around 50 audio releases, Wischmeyer’s latest entries surfaced in 2021, and he remains active with live performances across Germany. His 2025 touring slate includes Wischmeyers Zeltmission and Schwarze Weihnacht, bringing his distinctive style to audiences in multiple German cities.
