The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, formed in 1977 in New Orleans by Benny Jones and members of the Tornado Brass Band, helped ignite a brass-band revival with their inventive, bite-sized "musical gumbo." Known for high-energy performances that blend jazz, New Orleans R&B, jazz fusion, Second Line, funk, and soul, they’ve earned a reputation as genre-defying live acts. The band remains a centerpiece of New Orleans music while maintaining a robust international touring schedule that brings their vibrant sound to venues around the world.
