Discord Theory is a Tampa, Florida-based indie/post-emo band formed in 2017. Fronted by Luis Giler (vocals) with Sydney Reinfrank (guitar), Anthony Rogue (bass), and Tyler Austin (drums), they’ve built a sound rooted in emotional storytelling, dynamic guitar work, and tight rhythm sections. Their journey began with the 2018 debut EP Alas, defining a sound that blends melodic hooks with introspective lyricism. In 2023 they released the full-length Eight Ways From Dire Straits, produced by Lee Dyess, signaling a broader indie/post-emo direction. An instrumental companion, Eight Ways From Dire Straits (Instrumental), followed in 2025, expanding the band’s sonic palette.
