DJ Chonz, born Mario Rodriguez in Denver, Colorado, is a pioneering figure in hip-hop culture and a cornerstone of Colorado’s DJ scene. Emerging from the city’s rich rap and club culture, Chonz became the first DJ to mix live on Denver radio (KS107.5) in 2001, a milestone that helped elevate his profile nationwide.
