Biography: Doll formed in 2007 in Ottawa, quickly becoming a staple of the Canadian punk and grunge-influenced scene. Original lineup featured Christina Kasper, Pete Kasper, Nick Richer and Alex Vance, with early updates including Véronique Paquette and Julie-Anne Madore. The band developed a raw, high-energy sound that led to their first independent release, Inside the Dollhouse (2009). The subsequent album, The Ragdoll Diaries (2011), earned attention with the single and video for FMO, which was nominated for Music Video of the Year at the 2011 Ottawa Film Festival. Their work on The Ragdoll Diaries was released by Grunge Never Died, You Did! Records in the US, with later UK distribution via Cargo Records. In 2025, Doll released an EP titled Better Days, Different Times on Bandcamp, continuing to evolve while staying true to their DIY roots.
