Dorothea Roschmann is a distinguished German mezzo-soprano celebrated for her Mozart roles and intimate Lieder recitals. Born in Flensburg on June 17, 1967, she built a formidable career across Europe, becoming a key member of the Berlin State Opera ensemble from 1994–2000 and gaining a global profile after a breakthrough at the Salzburg Festival in 1995 as Susanna.
