The live experience
What reaches the room
Located at 1218 Charlottetowne Ave in Charlotte, NC, the Double Door Inn opened in 1973 and earned its place as the oldest live music venue east of the Mississippi and the oldest blues club under original ownership. Over the years, it became a trusted hub for blues, zydeco, jazz, and rock, hosting iconic acts from Eric Clapton to the Avett Brothers. Though closed in 2017 to make way for CPCC campus expansion, its legacy remains a touchstone for music lovers across the Carolinas. The venue’s memory continues to be celebrated through commemorative events and ongoing appreciation from fans and artists alike.
