Dr. Khalilah Ali is a multifaceted educator, performer, and public thinker whose work spans hip-hop based education, womanist pedagogy, and global curriculum development. With a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Emory University and a current role as an Assistant Professor of Education at Spelman College, she explores how music and culture can inform learning and empowerment. Her early creative work as Bodhisattva Brite on SoundCloud highlights a transition from performance to scholarship that now centers on educational equity, community engagement, and transnational curriculum design. On stage and in the classroom, she blends rigorous research with accessible storytelling to foster critical dialogue about race, gender, and learning in communities across the U.S. and beyond.
