Drama Tech, founded in 1947, stands as the longest-standing theatre in the southeast and Georgia Tech’s only student-run theatre. Nestled in the Dean James E. Dull Theatre (the Ferst Center for the Arts Black Box) at 349 Ferst Drive NW, Atlanta, GA, Drama Tech has fostered a rich tradition of producing thought-provoking theatre while giving students hands-on experience in all aspects of production.

From 4–5 mainstage productions each year to dynamic improv via Let’s Try This! and a devoted Tap Troupe, Drama Tech blends classic storytelling with contemporary experimentation. In July 2025, the company will present Eurydice as part of the DramaTech Theatre slate, followed by Execution of Justice in November 2025 at the Ferst Center venue, each with multiple performance dates. The 2026 season includes Orlando (July 2026), as part of DramaTech’s ongoing slate of student-led theatre experiences. For those interested in joining, Drama Tech held Open House 2025 to recruit new members and committees, with shows and drop-in activities to explore involvement.
