Since forming around 2009, Drew Nugent has been a steadfast advocate for vintage jazz, delivering high-energy performances that pay homage to the jazz age while keeping the sound fresh for today’s audiences. A notable early-career moment came from NPR's A Prairie Home Companion, where Nugent's talents earned him a top placement in the Talent from 12–20 contest. As a versatile performer/leader, Nugent has built a dedicated following across the country by preserving the swing, melody, and improvisational spirit of the 1920s and 1930s.
