Drop Nineteens is a cornerstone of American shoegaze and noise pop, known for lush guitars, slow builds, and melodic vocals. Formed in 1990 in Boston, the band released influential early records like Delaware (1992) and National Coma (1993) before initially dissolving in 1995. After a long hiatus, they reformed in 2022 and returned to live stages with a 2024 performance in Washington, D.C. The project continues to evolve, delivering new material and revisiting landmark sounds that helped shape the shoegaze landscape.
