Step into a reimagined Chekhov-inspired narrative with Drowning Crow, a stage drama by award-winning writer and performer Regina Taylor. Set among a Black family on the Sea Islands off South Carolina, this production blends intimate family dynamics with a dramatic, theatrical voice that reflects both classical influences and contemporary perspectives. The world premiere took audiences at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago (January 6 – February 10, 2002), followed by a Broadway run at the Manhattan Theatre Club’s Biltmore Theatre (opened February 19, 2004; closed April 4, 2004).
