Program history spans from its inception with head coach Marissa Young in 2015 to leading the program into the ACC in 2017. Duke’s 2021 season marked the first ACC Championship with a 44-12 record, followed by three straight NCAA Super Regional appearances (2022–2024) and the program’s first WCWS appearance in 2024, powered by NFCA All-Americans and ACC award winners. Home games are played at Duke Softball Stadium, now known as Smith Family Stadium, located on Duke’s East Campus in Durham, NC. In 2025, Duke will play 19 home games, all ticketed, including appearances at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, CA (Feb 20–23, 2025) where they’ll face teams like Nebraska, Howard, BYU, Minnesota, and UCLA.
