Dzvinka Tickets

Dzvinka is a spectacular two-hour stage production presented by Tryzub Ukrainian Dance Society in Calgary, marking the organization’s 50th anniversary. This immersive performance blends a compelling narrative with dynamic Ukrainian dance, offering audiences an authentic celebration of heritage and community. Proceeds from Dzvinka support Ukrainian newcomer programs, and the project partners with the Ukraine Nightingale Project and Rogers Birdies for Kids matching program.

Act I weaves the legend of the Ukrainian folk hero Oleksa Dovbush through the lens of Dzvinka, inviting audiences to experience courage, resilience, and folklore through movement and music. Act II shifts focus to regional Ukrainian dance, delivering lively, precise choreography and vibrant costumes crafted in Ukraine and transported to Canada for the production. The original score was composed in Ukraine and recorded under wartime conditions, adding a powerful layer of history and emotion to the performance.
