Biography
Earthride formed in 2000 in Frederick, Maryland, emerging in the wake of Spirit Caravan's dissolution. The band quickly established a signature sound rooted in doom metal, with the heavier grooves and stoner-metal influence appealing to fans seeking powerful, hypnotic riffs. Over the years, Earthride has featured a rotating, dedicated lineup. Founder Dave Sherman steered the project through decades of gigs and recordings until his passing in 2022, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the Maryland heavy scene. Current members include Kyle Van Steinburg, Josh Hart, and Eric Little, who carry the Earthride mission forward with the same gritty, unpretentious approach that fans appreciate.
