East Side Kings Festival is a cornerstone of East Austin’s rich musical landscape, dedicated to preserving and presenting African American blues, jazz, and gospel. Founded by Eddie Stout, the festival traces its roots to the 1999 Eastside Kings album on Dialtone Records and has grown into a multi-venue, multi-day celebration that spotlights a deep musical lineage. With a mission centered in the Rosewood district and the post-war blues circuit, East Side Kings champions community, history, and live performance across the city’s vibrant venues.
