Founded in 1936 and renamed ETSO in 1954, this storied ensemble serves East Texas with engaging subscription concerts, education programs, and community outreach. Led by Music Director Richard Lee, ETSO brings a blend of classical mastery and vibrant community performances to audiences at the UT Tyler Cowan Center and partner venues throughout the region.

The Nutcracker, a major collaboration with Tyler Junior College Academy of Dance, returns Dec 5, 2025 at the Rogers Palmer Performing Arts Center (TJC Campus) with opening night already sold out.
